    • How high of temperature can your materials operate?

      Maverick Products can operate for tens of thousands of hours at temperatures to 700°F (371°C) and in extreme environments (high Pressure, flowing oxygen, nasty fluids). These products can perform at significantly higher temperatures for shorter durations and in less demanding environments.

    • When should I use a composite bearing?

      •  Composite bearings are best used in high temperature environments up to 750°F (399°C)
      • In applications where you want to eliminate grease or oil 
      • When you want to reduce the weight of a component
      • When current bearings are not providing long life
      • In neutral, acidic, and surfactant environments
      • When thermal insulation is required
      • When vibration dampening is desired

    • Does Maverick have stock sizes?

      No,we do not offer stock shapes. Maverick supplies a fully engineered finished machined part. Maverick is a custom molder and works to specific application needs.  We can produce to your own  drawing or we can engineer your part if no drawing is available.

    • Are there circumstances when composites bearings are not the best choice?

      • Yes, in direct steam or hot caustic environments
      • When P/V values are exceedingly high  (> 50,000)
      • When the bearing will take a direct dynamic impact
      • With grease or oil as they could bind with particulates and become abrasive, reducing bearing life
      • When continuous operating temperatures exceed 750°F (399°C)
